HVAC rebates in Louisiana

Data last verified July 24, 2026

Three utilities matter here, and one of them is a trap on most websites right now.

Cleco Power runs the richest verified program: Residential Solutions / Power Wise HVAC Rebate, 2026 Program Year 12. We pulled these tiers from Cleco’s official 2026 program manual PDF, not an aggregator. Heat pumps earn $350-$600 per ton by SEER2 tier ($450-$700/ton income-qualified). Central AC earns $150-$250 per ton at 15.2 SEER2 or better ($450-$600/ton income-qualified). The headline number: a heat pump replacing an electric-resistance (strip-heat) furnace pays $3,000 per system, or $3,500 income-qualified. The catches: a Cleco-approved contractor (Project Sponsor) must do the install and submit the incentive, no upsizing on early retirement, and the window is January 6 through December 18, 2026 — or until funds run out, first-come first-served.

SWEPCO pays up to $3,500 per qualifying high-efficiency heat pump or AC unit through its HVAC Incentive Program, again via an approved contractor with the installation subject to inspection.

Entergy Louisiana is paused. As of our July 24, 2026 check, the Entergy Solutions residential efficiency page states programs are temporarily paused while the utility onboards a new partner, with expanded programs expected in the coming months. Prior offers included an AC tune-up rebate up to $150 — but any site listing Entergy Louisiana rebate dollar amounts today is publishing stale information. That is worth remembering when you compare cost guides. Orleans Parish customers use the separate Energy Smart program instead.

Rebate math changes quotes by four figures on a strip-heat conversion. Confirm your utility before you sign.
