HVAC rebates in Arizona

Arizona rebates split by utility territory, and only one of the big three publishes numbers we could verify directly.

TEP (Tucson) — verified. The Efficient Home Program pays instant rebates, deducted from the purchase price at the point of sale:

You must use a participating program contractor (the program is implemented by Franklin Energy), and replacement rebates require retiring the old unit.

SRP (Phoenix metro) — programs exist, amounts unverified. SRP runs duct test and repair, AC/heat pump, and smart thermostat rebates, but srpnet.com blocks automated verification, so we won’t state dollar amounts as fact. Program requirements were verified via SRP’s official application PDF: permanent SRP residential customer, existing homes only, contractor licensed in Arizona and BPI Building Analyst certified for duct work, limit five duct rebates per customer and one per system every five years. Confirm current amounts at srpnet.com before signing.

APS — programs exist, amounts unverified. APS runs Cool Rewards, a smart thermostat demand-response program with summer conservation events June 1 through September 30, plus residential rebates. On both verification attempts (July 23-24, 2026) aps.com redirected to a maintenance page, so no amounts could be confirmed from the utility’s own pages. Check aps.com directly once the site is back.
