Repair or replace?

Data last verified July 24, 2026· refrigerant pricing on 90-day re-verification

The math changed in 2025: R-410A manufacture ended, and recharge pricing rose sharply. This tool puts the repair estimate, the refrigerant exposure, and the replacement range side by side — then tells you what actually drives the decision. No score, no lead form.

Assumptions: repair ranges are national 2026 parts+labor figures (per-item confidence shown with each result). R-410A recharge exposure uses $50–$150/lb installed (estimate — sources disagree and the market is moving on AIM Act quota cuts) × a typical 2–4 lb per ton charge. Replacement range is the national code-minimum band for your tonnage.
